


Meet The PROPEL Pequannock Team

Paul Mahler
Co-Founder/President
Paul Mahler is President and co-founder of PROPEL Pequannock. He is a proud husband and father, with children that make the world a better place, as well as a grandpa of two, who will soon do the same. Paul was first tenor and lead singer in a Doo Wop and Oldies group called Frankie Cannata and the DreaMakers, singing classics like “In The Still Of The Night”, “Brown Eyed Girl”, and “Unchained Melody”.

Sharon Ramella is Vice President and co-founder of PROPEL Pequannock. She is a life long resident of Pequannock, graduating from Pequannock Township High School in 1985, with her two children following suit. She wore the hat of a soccer mom, Girl Scout Troop Leader, and is now currently a proud band mom. Sharon is an alumni of Fairleigh Dickinson University, with a Masters degree in Medical Technology, with 35 years experience of Research and Development in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.

Alison Sanna
Secretary
Alison Sanna is Secretary of PROPEL Pequannock. She grew up in Hawthorne, but married into a Pequannock townie family. She and her wife are mothers to three children, and a fur baby. Alison has her Masters in Special Education, and has been teaching for 19 years. Currently, she teaches Kindergarten-2nd Grade for children with disabilities. She is a huge New York METS fan, coffee lover, and loves to try local coffee shops and breweries.

Sally Basile is the Treasurer of PROPEL Pequannock. She has volunteered at many organizations aside from PROPEL Pequannock, volunteering at the Bloomingdale Butler Community Organization (BBCO) running the annual Sloan Park Festival and Toy Drive and served as the President of the PTA in Bloomingdale for four years. Sally is an avid concertgoer with her two daughters, Isabella and Amelia, loves glamping in the Spring and Summer in Sussex County, and she is the co-owner of The Knitty Kitty along with her daughter Amelia.

Randy Shamber
Director of Social Equity Counsel
Randy Shamber, along with his wife Laura, is founder and owner of ShamRock School of Music in Riverdale, rooted from his love of singing and guitar. Their students have performed every year at the Pequannock Pride Fest since 2022. He is an avid Grateful Dead fan, sports fan, hiker, and golfer, originally from New England. As Social Equity Director, Randy serves as liaison between PROPEL Pequannock and the Town Council, having aided in the township’s Pride Month Proclamation issued each year since 2021. Randy also served as the President of the Pequannock Chamber of Commerce from 2011-2018 and was co-producer of the PROPEL Pequannock Street Fest during that time.

Along with being PROPEL Pequannocks Director of QR to Mental Health, Sierra Klaassens is a clinician and graduate researcher whose work focuses on improving access to mental health care, training future counselors, and promoting evidence-based approaches to treatment. Her work spans clinical practice, education, and advocacy to support the mental health and well-being of individuals and communities. She also volunteers at Empty Bowls, an international initiative to fight hunger.

Isabella Basile
Director of Social Media/Co-Webmaster
Isabella Basile is Director of Social Media for PROPEL Pequannock. For her Senior year at Pequannock Township High School, she taught English, Math, and ESL at Stephen J. Gerace Elementary School. She was also a member of UNIFIED Sports and GSA. She was a Girl Scout from 2010-2023, and for her Silver Award, she started an Anti-Bullying club at Walter T. Bergen Middle School in Bloomingdale. She will be graduating from William Paterson University with a Bachelors Degree in Popular Music and Minor’s in Music Entertainment Industries and Disability Studies. Isabella is also a Vocal and Piano teacher at ShamRock School of Music, as well as a Freelance Journalist, Poet, Singer, Songwriter, Public Relations Intern at The Syndicate, and lead singer of her band, Maxxed Out.
